Pink Aesthetics
An aesthetic smile is not only possible with White straight teeth, but also with consistent gingiva. It is impossible to mention aesthetic teeth or efficient smile in people with gum diseases. Bleeding, disharmonic, edematous, disproportional gingiva will prevent aesthetic look of the teeth. Among them, the biggest problem is excessive view of the gums during laughing. Prevention of this condition is possible with minor gingival operations and protection of mucosa and supportive tissues. In a smile design of person with healthy teeth and gum, adjustment of gingival levels will be done with a gingival expert. Another problem is tall image of teeth which results from gingival recession and appearance of yellow-brown look in the gingival line due to the color of dental root surface. Gingival recession creates both anatomic and aesthetic problems. In both cases, prevention of gingival recession and regaining the lost tissue is aimed; the result will be satisfactory in both aesthetic and functional perspective.
