What The Impacted Teeth?
Teeth which do not come out to their places with various reasons even when it is time erupt are called “impacted teeth”. Third molar teeth (wisdom teeth) are the most common impacted teeth. If there is no place in the mouth for them to erupt and it did not erupt even when person is 25, they are considered as “impacted”. Sometimes these teeth erupt partially, but they do not reach the full height.
If your teeth did not erupt yet, you may visit your dentist and gain information, have the factor tooth extracted before problems such as pain, swelling, infection, decay and gum diseases occur due to impacted teeth.
On the contrary to general belief, extraction of impacted teeth is painless. Extraction of wisdom teeth is usually done with a minor surgical procedure. Subsequent to extraction, you may use antibiotic or painkillers in line with doctor’s suggestion. Cold compress which will be applied after extraction will be very effective in prevention of swelling.
